  • Custom manufacturing of each door to meet the specific permitting requirements of the "as built" opening.
  • Since every door has a built-in counter balancing mechanism operation is practically effortless.
  • A security-proof closure of considerable strength.
  • Durability, corrosion resistance and proven reliability.
  • Economics of installation and maintenance.
  • Access control.
  • Security with see-through and / or ventilation options.

Curtain
This is the integral part of any Roller Shutter and is available in different styles, materials and various thickness, designs and finishes, as described in our individual product data sheets.

Guides

These are formed from a channel selection and are mounted on either side of the door opening forming a guide channel for curtain to run in. they are generally made of mild steel and are available in different thicknesses and depths according to the requirements of the various sizes of Roller Shutter Doors.

Bottom Rail
The bottom edge of the curtain is reinforced with a double steel angle to form an inverted T-section which is bottled at the bottom slat.

Aluminium T-Bar
This is an extruded product which is ISO 9002 certified, having passed abnormal weather conditions, impact tests and normal strengths. It is a patented product, which offers better finishing, stability and increase load-bearing abilities. Groves are extruded at the bottom of the T-bar to accommodate a rubber strip, which is weather resistant, namely damp proof preventing water from seeping through under the T-bar. This product is also free of wear and tear, and corrosion. WE also pride ourselves that we are the only a few door companies in Africa that provide aluminium T-bars as part of our product range.

End Locks
Polypropylene or malleable iron end locks are fitted on every alternate slat on either side of the Roller Shutter Curtain. The purposes of these are as follows:
  • To prevent lateral movement of slats this is the major cause of the shutter jamming.
  • To ensure silent and smooth operations.
  • To obviate the use of grease or any other lubricant in the guides.
  • To extend the life of the slates by preventing friction in the guides.
Super Secure Lock (Optional)
Popular means of adding to the security of Roller Shutters:
  • Cannot be violated with bolt cutters.
  • Can be installed at a convenient as opposed to only at floor level.
  • Locally produced using highly reputable Viro Cylinder Lock, housed in a steel casing which can be effectively welded to the unit.
  • Can be used to add to or replace existing locking systems or ordered as a standard fitting to any Roller Shutter installation.
  • (Can be retro-fitted to existing installation).
Slide Bolts
(For Padlocks) situated on either side of the T-bar and slide onto provide in the two channel guides.

Centre Locks (Optional)
Key operated barrel lock situated in the centre of the T-bar with locking bars which slide horizontally into slots provided in the two channel guides. This is applicable up to 300mm in width.

All Weather Astragel (Optional)
A flexible neoprene strip attached to the bottom rail provides contact with the floor to compensate for the irregularities and to prevent penetration of water.

Electrical Operation
Electrical Operation is recommended for large doors in frequent operation. Although this type of operator can be specified for any size door. In the case of electrically operated doors, the supply would include the electrical motor reduction gearbox, remote push button starter, limited switch assembly and, if required an electro-magnetic brake. The unit would be fitted with an emergency hand operator for use in the event of power failure. Many other features can also be supplied such as card readers, inductive loop circuits, automatic operations, etc.

Through-Wall Operation
When the door is to be mounted on the one side of a wall, but operated from the opposite side, operation through the wall can be arranged for either chain or crank handle type doors.
