INTRODUCTION
Braybar Pumps was established in 1986, and is based in Apex, Benoni.
Braybar Pumps was initially started as Braybar Engineering doing a
substantial amount of work for the mining industry on the East and West
Rand. Braybar Engineering was then approached by Salweir and were
offered an agency which we gladly accepted. |

Braybar Engineering then subsequently formed Braybar Pumps cc in 1986.
We own our own premises, one factory houses the machine shop and the
other the fitting shop. We concentrate mainly on the supply of pumps,
spares and repairs of most makes of pumps in the market place,(Harland,
KSB, Rapid Sulzer, Howden and Kirloskar are some of the models that we
deal with.) Braybar Pumps cc also specialize in the manufacture and
repair of white metal bearings, all of which is done in house.

Our company consists of a Manager / Member, Sales Manager /
Representative, two representatives, a administration Manager,
Bookkeeper, Admin Assistant, Receptionist / Buyer. In our machine shop
we have one machine shop foreman with five turners and one horizontal
boring mill turner, two machine operators, five additional workers doing
various jobs. Also housed in the machine shop is the white mettling bay
with two melters. The fitting shop has one fitting shop foreman with one
turner, four fitters, two fitters aids and one shot blasting operator. |
